JOB OPPORTUNITY

Washington County Solid Waste is taking applications for a full time, 24 hours a week position. Must have a class A CDL with air brakes. Will be required to operate and maintain transport truck with walking floor trailer, backhoe, front end loader, and have basic computer skills. A pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required. Applications can be picked up at the Road and Bridge Office, 1102 East Court Street, Weiser, Idaho, or on the Washington County website. Applications must be turned in to the Road and Bridge office by Wednesday January 15, 2020. Pay depends on experience.

8-6-1: TRANSPORTATION OF SOLID WASTE:

A. It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to transport solid waste upon the roadways open to the public within Washington County, Idaho, in an open vehicle.  All waste shall be transported within a closed vehicle or be secured within a vehicle by tarp or cover to prevent scattering, blowing, or loss of waste during transportation.  Individual containers shall be covered by a tarp or cover to prevent loss of container lids or debris during transit.

B. Violations of this section shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00) for each violation. (ord. 61, 8-7-2006)
