This document gives notice to the public, that as of February 8th, 2021 the Washington County Planning & Zoning Department will no longer do deed searches. Anyone wishing to inquire as to the availability of residential dwelling building permits and/or splits on a parcel of land will be required to submit the following information to the Washington County Planning & Zoning Office:
Research on the Original Parcel-all deeds showing a contiguous chain of ownership of parcels as of April 9th, 1979.
Individuals can do their own research or contact a title company and have it done through them.
Upon submission, the Planning & Zoning Office will make the determination as to available building permits, and/or property splits and advise. These are done on a first come first served basis.
