The Board of Community Guardians provides assistance to adult citizens who are no longer able to care for themselves. Wards under our guardianship and/or conservatorship cannot make or communicate responsible decisions, manage their finances, or provide for basic needs such as food, clothing, health care, and safety and have no family or other person to provide aid. Our role is to ensure these vulnerable adults are protected from exploitation, abuse, and neglect. We find them homes, arrange for health care and manage finances. We are the final resort for these vulnerable adults.
