Rodent District


Washington County Rodent District will pay a bounty of $1.25 for Gopher tails that are trapped in the Rodent Control District area (see map).  In order to qualify:

  1. The land that the Gopher(s) are trapped on must be in the district.
  2. The landowner must complete a landowner affidavit (one per fiscal year per tapper)
  3. The trapper must complete a trapper affidavit (each time tails are turned in)

The staff will verify the tail count and process a claim for payment. The county will process the claim and send a check to the trapper.

Rodent District Board Members

The Washington County Rodent District Board holds its bi-monthly meeting the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. at the Washington County Weed Dept., located at 1118 E. Court St., Weiser, Idaho. The public is welcome to attend.  Please check the calendar for more information.  The Following is a list of active board members:
