Jury Service

The term of jury service in Washington County is for a period of three months. You may be asked to appear more than once during the three-month period you are on call. As a potential juror you might be needed in either Magistrate or District Court, for civil or criminal matters.

Potential Juror (Service beginning October 3, 2025)

Washington County is transitioning to a new Jury system. A new Juror Summons/Questionnaire are being sent out. An image of the new summons can be found below.

Beginning with this new set of Jurors, Jurors will have the option to fill out their Juror Questionnaire online, check their weekly status by phone or online, and request time off by phone, online or email. The Juror Questionnaire can still be filled out and returned by mail or in person to the Jury Commissioner. The weekly call-in number will be (844) 509-1211. The Questionnaire can be found at https://jury.idaho.gov/ and weekly check-ins can be done at that website.

The website page should look like below.

Once you hit “Sign On”, the screen should look like below.

Using your Juror ID as found on your summons, sign into the website. You will then get to the page below. **If it is your first time logging into the website, it will ask for your email address and phone number before you can proceed.**

You will want to click on the “Profile/Status” button. You will then click on the “+” mark by “Service Information”.

If your “Status” on that page says Confirmed, that means you are eligible to be called for a jury, but there is nothing going on for the next week.

If your “Status” says Panel, that means you have been called to service and the black banner underneath, labeled “Reporting Date” has the date and time you are to arrive at the Courthouse.

Choose option 2 again
You will receive the message that you are confirmed for jury duty, that is all you will hear if nothing is scheduled. If you are scheduled to appear it will give you the date and time.

Excused Time

During your term, do not feel like you have to put your life on hold. Let us know the Wednesday prior to the week that you need to be excused for a vacation, having family in, doctor’s appointments, etc., so that we can excuse you for that block of time. Please call (208) 414-2092.
